Financial Matters

Learning Objectives from Financial Planning Session:

Financial planning is a key element of the whole process of planning for a rewarding retirement. The options presented to individuals today when they have a lump sum to invest are much more wide and varied than ten or fifteen years ago. It is important that indivduals have as great an understanding as possible of the products available for investing money and the questions they should ask when seeking advice. This sessions aim to provide the participant with:

  1. An understanding of planning finances over the short, medium and long term.
  2. What to look for in terms of a return on money for the short, medium and long term.
  3. Have a greater understanding of the options available.
  4. Have a greater knowledge of the questions to ask of financial advisers.
  5. Each participant will know to a greater extent what their rights are when dealing with financial advisers and institutions.
  6. Understand how to evaluate charges/commission against service given and return expected.
